CEMD is registered as an association in Zagreb, Croatia. Currently, there are 3 founders and 4 association members (people, not legal entities or organizations). As a new association, CEMD is currently engaged in fundraising activities through applications for various projects and partnerships. Sources of funding are from project applications and research activities.
To promote and further current affairs in the Euro-Mediterranean region, helping to shape the conversation on important social issues, as well as promoting transparency and accountability in the region.
The Center for Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue (CEMD) is an independent, non-profit, organization based in Zagreb, Croatia, focused on promoting, developing and improving intercultural dialogue, human rights, education, regional and international cooperation. Croatia’s leading forum for debates, CEMD excels in in-house research on a wide range of policy areas, from justice and security, to foreign policy and international cooperation.
With our management's vast experience in international relations and cooperation, as well as strong academic background, we recognized the need to this kind of organization in Croatia. There are seldom opportunities for a quality and structured dialogue on Euro-Mediterranean issues, in addition to very few organizations being involved in the Euro-Med regional matters. CEMD can contribute to the Croatian national network by providing a solid platform specialized in EU-Med relations and research.
