ActiveVision was created by a group of visual and documentary artists and photojournalists, sharing the belief in the power of the visual image in creating consciousness and change, of mobilizing social changes via art.
There is a very strong inflow of refugees from Africa into Europe and the Mediterranean. the largest group comes from Darfur. Many of these refugees are youth under 18. We need to create a space for them for expression, free exchange of information, a space for public discourse. Art and media should be harnessed to the well-being and development of the refugee youth and provide them with tools and training. This will contribute to community rehabilitation and promote an essential dialogue in society.

Main Projects / Activities

General Information
During the last few years, a positive process of awakening is taking place among a growing number of people who desire a change, in face of the complexity of our reality. Environmental, social and ethical issues are inter-twined with one another and raise many questions regarding our function as a society and as individuals in this reality, Most of which find it hard to express and fulfill this intention. Creating a space that allows and encourages personal empowerment, acquiring of knowledge, cooperation and action, Is an essential and necessary part in the ongoing process of making a difference. From these foundations arises the need for an open meeting place, which will allow a gathering and a shared learning; A space where different individuals and organizations can exchange views and ideas, plan joint work, extend their activity's limits and draw encouragement and strength from each other.
Mission and Objectives

"Activism festival" is the annual gathering for social change and sustainability in Israel and its vicinity.
The Festival is part of a long-term process that encourages responsibility by supporting entrepreneurship which have sustainable impact on the local society. The festival is the peak point of the year: The place where initiatives are shaped.
We do this by creating a platform in which grassroots organizations and independent activists meet, and new collaborations grow.
The festival is also open to the public. Every person can arrive, enjoy a massive cultural event, get inspired and become active in society.
Objectives:
• To strengthen the ties and interrelations among grassroots organizations and the general public
• To empower participating individuals, according to the freedom of infor-mation and media
• To encourage the development of initiatives which create and support a sustainable lifestyle and promote a sustainable society

Main Projects / Activities

1. Activism Festival: In 2011, the festival will put its emphasis on coexistence. The festival will be held in a region cohabitated by Muslim, Christian and Jewish villages in Israel. Along with the already-established activities, Local industries will be invited to take part in creating initiatives with the community; a dialogue tent will hold forums and debates about the possibility of long-term collaborations, and the economics and logistics frame of the festival will support local traders and farmers.
2. Sustainability: Educational demonstrations of sustainable facilities, and distributing equipment and facilities for a community of 100 organizations.
3. Rehabilitation: Active rehabilitation and greening of the area in which the festival resides.
3. Education: Working with youth groups on subjects of sustainability, leadership and community building skills; Activist seminars and organizational skills building workshops

Mission and Objectives

The African Israeli Stage,  sees its role as a supporter of African culture; it seeks to contribute to the cultural ‘conversation’, rather than dominate it; it takes a positive, rather than critical perspective on African culture (and by extension, on Africa itself); and ultimately, it looks to enrich the Israeli culture discourse, by helping creating a space within it for African arts and culture, as well as for minority culture. The strength and unique quality of the African-Israeli Stage is in creating opportunities for inter-cultural contacts. The professional ensemble of actors, musicians and creators include among its participants veteran Israelis, Ethiopian immigrants, African immigrants, Asylum seekers and Israeli-Palestinian actors, who transcend their daily existences to create a community of understanding and acceptance without minimizing the differences and conflicts that exist across different cultural and religious identities.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

The main reason we seek for membership in ALF, is Not to work alone, to have partners for collaborations,  as well as developing and sharing ideas.and cultural initiatives.

We find that the ALF targets aim at similar perspectives, as we in AIS -African Israeli Stage work for.

We believe that the best way to succeed in our Cultural work, is by bridging and empowering minority communities in Israel. This is best done, by networking with other Israeli as well as international organizations.

Through integration in ALF network, Al-Tufula can share its experience in the field of youth with the network members by delivering relevant trainings to young people and to professionals working with young people (including gender, human rights, drama, developing personal skills, identity development, development of future vision, development of skills in different domains), initiating community activities targeting young people in addition to youth leadership development.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Al-Tufula is interested in joining the ALF network since the network addresses youth issues and young women are one of the groups targeted by our organization.
Since 2007, we have been empowering young Palestinian women citizens of Israel to reach higher education and become agents of change in the Palestinian society in Israel. So far, we have established six groups, many of which continued with their social activism after they had graduated from the project and are still involved in community projects implemented by Al-Tufula.
We have learnt that the ALF network addresses the youth field through projects and forums which bring together organizations and activists from Europe and the Middle East to further youth issues; therefore we believe that our integration in such a framework will enrich our work with young women.
