ALF launches the #ALFClimateSeries campaign from June - October 2022

In light of the UN’s Climate Change Conference - COP27 taking place in Egypt in November 2022, and acknowledging the urgent need to address climate change on a local and regional level, the ALF is launching the #ALFClimateSeries campaign. The climate series consists of a broad range of activities lasting from June to October to raise awareness on climate change and its social impact on the Mediterranean region and to facilitate networking and regional dialogue on how to mitigate this impact. 

The campaign starts with the kick-off event “Climate change in the Mediterranean: Environmental and Social Impact” taking place on 14 June at 5:30 PM (CET) at the Anna Lindh Foundation - von Gerber house, Alexandria with panel discussions on: 

  • Overview on the COP27 and climate change;
  • Focus on the Marine Litter problem and solutions; 
  • Climate change and social impact in the Mediterranean region; 
  • Alternatives and Environmental solutions by the Civil Society sector and start-ups.
